Welcome back to my blog post! My name is Kelvin Luu and I will be discussing the social media presence of 5-Hour Energy in this post. According to their main website, the brand is known for selling mostly fruit-flavoured energy drinks or "
energy shots". Similar to other energy drink brands, 5-Hour Energy drinks also contain
zero sugar,
extra strength, and non-carbonated versions. Their social media networks include
Twitter,
Facebook,
Google+,
YouTube,
Pinterest, and
Instagram.

5-Hour Energy often posts more on Twitter compared to their other social media networks. On average, they post around 2-3 posts each day. Most of the content that is posted show videos and images that advertise their energy drink flavours (ex. Berry, Citrus-Lime, Grape, Pomegranate, Orange, Pink Lemonade). They interact with their audience by sharing interesting facts about their energy drinks and replying to comments on Twitter. The main purpose of these posts is to promote their brand by engaging and appealing to their fans in a friendly and fun manner. After browsing each of their social media networks, I noticed that a majority of customer feedback were mostly positive and they were always willing to provide support to people who had doubts or concerns about their products. Apart from that, their social media presence has earned them about 100,835 likes on Facebook and 18.2K followers on Twitter.
Compared to other energy drink brands, 5-Hour Energy is probably one of the lesser known brands. However, I believe their way of marketing energy drinks and interacting with their audience shows that they care about what content is posted on their social media networks. If they are able to continue showing this level of commitment, then I think their online presence should be able to steadily increase in the future.
