Battle of the Brands Red Bull vs AMP Energy Drinks Facebook Stand Off

Red Bull vs AMP Energy Drinks Facebook Battle

In a previous post we broke down each brands social media presence now we’re going to compare the two and see which comes out on top.

Red Bull

Red Bull main Facebook page has over 45 million likes. They usually post and shares content from their other pages and or post about events that are coming up. Red Bull tends to post clips of their athletes doing cool tricks and or post highlights from their events. These video clips tend to be relatively short and they post them through out the day. Red Bull will use names of their events to draw in fans. They don’t promote their drinks on their page as much. Red Bull doesn’t really use the 50/50 rule where they talk about their brand as well as the energy drink industry.

AMP Energy Drinks

AMP is currently at 70,000 likes on Facebook. They focus their posts on their drinks. AMP will post mainly content promoting new drinks or a few of their events. AMP has a lot more interaction going on their page compared to Red Bull. AMP will post pictures of your everyday person holding their drink. AMP uses keywords focused on the flavors of their drinks. By doing this anyone who searches just the flavor of said drink will have a easier time landing on that Facebook page.

Overall

In my opinion AMP has a greater Facebook presences. They do a better job of evolving their customers and the interactions are well managed. Red Bull has more activity on their page but that is due to them spamming content from all their other channels to their main one.  Red Bull has a larger presence on Facebook but the largest difference here is the content. AMP offer quality and Red Bull offers quantity.
